East Midlands Apprenticeship Awards 2009

Annual Awards Celebration
Showcasing Real Success

The Learning and Skills Council in the East Midlands is building on the successes of past award ceremonies to bring you the East Midlands Apprenticeship Awards 2009. If you are an employer involved with Apprenticeships, or if you are an apprentice or on an e2e programme, you could be eligible to apply for one of the exciting Awards for 2009.

You have the opportunity to join in the celebrations by applying for an Award, nominating a person or an employer for an Award or by attending the Awards Dinner.

Award Categories:

Young Apprentice of the Year Award
The Young Apprentice of the Year Award seeks to acknowledge and celebrate young learners’ exceptional achievements during their Young Apprenticeship Programme. Judges are looking for entrants who have made the most of their time on the programme, demonstrating considerable progress personally and in their studies.

Employer of the Year Award
The Employer of the Year Award is designed to acknowledge and celebrate employers’ commitment to developing their workforce through Apprenticeships. There are five categories within this Award to acknowledge the different approaches taken to Apprenticeships by organisations of differing size.

Apprentice of the Year Award
The Apprentice of the Year Award seeks to acknowledge and celebrate apprentices’ exceptional contributions to their workplaces. Judges are looking for entrants that make a real difference to the organisation they work in by exceeding expectations and delivering measurable benefits.

Entry to Employment (e2e) of the Year Award
The e2e of the Year Award is designed to acknowledge and celebrate learners who have successfully overcome barriers or obstacles – personally or in their learning or work experiences – to achieve their goals and exceed all expectation. Entrants for this Award will not be forwarded to the National Awards for consideration; this is purely a regional award.
